I survived my wisdom teeth extraction. It was hell on Earth for a week, but I'm still alive somehow.

My classes started up on Wednesday. So far so good, even though it's only been a day and I have yet to go to my Ethics class (starts up on Sept. 8th due to Labor Day). I'm sure I'll be okay this semester. My comp professor looks and sounds a bit like Hugh Laurie. :D Makes me want to giggle in class. Dr. Houuuuuse.

I feel like I should be ranting, but in all honesty I'm tired, and finding excuses to stay on the computer longer will just lead to me not sleeping, which is a bad idea in general. It's not difficult for me to find an excuse to stay up all night. Sometimes I wonder if I have insomnia, but then I go through times like I have been for the last week where I'm in bed by at least 10:30 every night, and I realize that I CAN sleep if I make the extra effort.

Which is what I'm going to do now. :D

So, seeing Batman at midnight was THE BEST decision I've made since my septum piercing (okay, well we won't count pre-ordering The Slip and bundling it with Fixed((both NIN albums)) on Amazon for free shipping). We got there at like 9:30 and the line was SHORT! Seating started at 10:25, and the line was next to a bench (but I sat on the floor, teehee), so an hour with optional bench was very nice. I also took my DS and played Professor Layton and the Curious Village (more on this in a second).

Batman was...omg. I was so disappointed by the one with Mr. Freeze in it that I stopped watching them all together (the one with the Riddler was meh as well, but god I love Jim Carey, he's brilliant!). But this movie actually made me want to see Batman Begins (I swore that one off guys). IT WAS BRILLIANT! And we got AMAZING seats (did I mention we only had to wait in line an hour? :-P), and everyone cheered when it came on, everyone laughed at the Joker's side comments, and there was no side chatter at all (shocking, there were a lot of young teens there). And everyone cheered when the Joker first appeared. It was so amazing you guys, I'm so glad I made the midnight, for real.

And as far as my DS, I got Professor Layton and the Curious Village and Cooking Mama (the first one), both of which are highly entertaining. For anyone who doesn't like Cooking Mama, I recommend Professor Layton, it is ADDICTING! It's all brain teasers. I also got Elebits for the Wii, it's entertaining so far.

So anyways, the moral of this post is GO SEE BATMAN! NOW!

You Are the Ace of Diamonds

You are a lucky person, and you always seem to find yourself surrounds by pretty, shiny things.
You have a knack for success and money - though your skills can't really be learned or taught.

You shine in a room, and you a have a truly sparkling personality.
A true extrovert, you always are able to share a witty joke or the latest scandalous gossip.

While you do have an eye for bling, you are also quite generous.
A lot of wealth and luck comes your way. And you're not afraid to pass it on.

A gamble you should take: Sports betting

Your friends would describe you as: Captivating

Your enemies would describe you as: Greedy

If you lived in Vegas, you would be: A trophy wife or husband

Guys. A kid at Virgina Tech University went on a killing spree, reportedly because his girlfriend dumped him (they think this was the final straw, though).

Please, if you pray, pray for the families who lost their loved ones at the school. The college I attend had some students recently transfer there who were killed.

If you don't pray, at least give your thoughts to these poor people.

Dead Mac. Not big mac. Bummer.
06:05pm 05/04/2007
My Mac has finally passed away. Poor Lakitu dearest.

Fried last night. My cousin says it's dead, time to replace.

Which I guess is good. He can get us a G5 at a steal.

But it costs money, and I hardly have any.

Asked mom to ask dad to front the money and we'd make payments back on it.
Hopefully he will.

Need to figure out how to get everything off dead machine. Lots of musics and pictures. D:

I'm caught up on homework. Except for Educational Psychology, which I'm going to do (read and notes) as soon as I'm done here. My teachers have been pretty good with easing us in, I very much enjoy getting my feet a bit wet before I dive into the lake. Pool. Puddle. Whatever.
Hopefully I'll keep up this way.

No word back from Hollywood Video. Had an interview on Tuesday, it's almost been a week. Waiting for a phone interview from the district manager. Whatever.
I need the money, that's the sucky part. I wouldn't care if I didn't need the cash. But I very much need it. Damn economy.

I'd like to have some spending money again, as well. There are CD's I'm after, and pirating takes too long. Besides, I don't like to pirate WHOLE CD's. I think if the artist is talented enough to make me like more than 50% of the CD, they deserve for me to spend my money on buying their product. Hard work needs to be payed off.
I'll be needing summer clothes when the weather gets nice, too. Argh.

I want a hair cut, too. Like an inch or so off. I want shooort hair. At least, short for me. I know I look good with short hair. So I want it -super- bad. Ryan just got paid, maybe I'll bum the money off him.

I guess that's it. Love you kids.

Davey Havok. Is hott. Really really hott. alkdjflas GORGEOUS.
Sorry. He deserves the props. :)

My cousin Lynn had her baby tonight. Like a half hour ago, actually.

Olivia Nicole. 7 lbs. Head full of dark hair.

I'm so excited to meet her. If she's anything like her sisters, she's freaking adorable. :)

I think I'm going to cross-stich her something for Christmas.

She's 10 days away from my birthday, that's the next best thing to being on my birthday. :D

Guess I should update.
11:12am 27/11/2006
Thanksgiving was a great day. Had to get up crazy early, though, to deliver baskests. And some guy got mad at us when we dropped the food off at his house, but whatever. I met some people from the church, so hopefully I will see them now when I go. It'll be nice to know someone, our church is HUGE.

Family came over and we ate. My mom makes the best turkey dinner EVER! =D And green bean caserole. YUM YUM!

Played with the kids. They really love spending time with Ryan and I, which is cool, because I don't have any siblings.

Black Friday...well....SUCKED. I had to be up at 5:30 AM to get ready for work. I went in (to Steve and Barry's, FYI), and Brad told me I'd be the customer service associate. I spent 8 hours walking around and asking people if they needed help. Which most of them did not. So, it was a waste. But at least I didn't have to refold clothes all day. By the time I left (3 PM) it was getting REALLY busy and trashed in there, so I was very happy that I didn't have to close.

Worked Saturday and Sunday, it was slow both days. However, Brad told me that he called me in Sunday not because it was busy, but because the district manager was coming in this morning, and he didn't have a lot of faith in his employees that were scheduled to get the store up to par. I thought that was really nice. Made me feel appreciated. :)

And my Christmas shopping is almost done. I have four people left: three of the kids and Ryan. But I know what I'm getting Ryan, I'm just waiting for my next pay check so I can pick it up.

Love you kids. <3

Thanksgiving morning '06 - a new tradition?
10:43am 06/11/2006
So Ryan and I signed up to deliver food baskets on Thanksgiving in Detroit. We have to meet up with the people we're going with at 8 am, and will be done around 11 am. I know this is a bit early for me, but I'm really looking forward to it. It'll be nice to take time out on a day that's about being thankful for blessings to actually get out there and hopefully give some blessings to others.

'Tis a good feeling.

One amazing year.
11:45am 23/10/2006
mood: grateful
So, as I understand, Saturday (OCt. 21st) was Sweetest day. Well, let's blow that one out of the water, because Sunday (October 22nd) was Ryan's and my ONE YEAR! =D

At midnight, we exchanged presents. He made me a boquet of fake l=flowers (they'll never wilt, aww!), and a board game for just us to play, so we played it. I got him a Simpsons can cooler and a MSU apron (hehehe). We cuddled and went to bed.

We got up and showered and went to the mall. He had made me most of my present, but didn't have time to buy me anything, so he wanted to shop around and I wanted to get my schedule. But first we went to a jewlery store. There was a Peridot and Blue Topaz ring (his and my birthstones) I wanted, but they were all out.

We went to another place, and they had this beautiful Peridot ring. I fell in love with it right away. Ryan said he didn't have the cash, so we left and I was very much upset that I couldn't have it (What? I never get real jewlery.).

He went to shop around and I got my schedule and a Starbucks. We met up at the foodcourt. He got me a stuffed Snoopy (I LOVE SNOOPY!) and a giftcard so I could go get the Angels and Airwaves CD (WHICH IS AMAZING!). Then we went to lunch at Ram's Horn (I love that place!). =)

Came home, and I spent about two hours getting ready. He got ready as well, and we went to my aunt's house to wish Beth a happy birthday. My mom and Joyce took some pictures of us (when I get a copy, I'll be sure to post it!). Then we went out to eat.

We went to Carabba's. OH MAN! I've never been there, and I wish I could go every day now!
While we were waiting to be seated, this little boy was pointing to my dress, saying "sparky" or something. I guess he meant sparkly. It was so cute! His mom asked why we were so dressed up, Ryan told her it was our one year, and she congratulated us. Aww.

Our waitress was really awesome too, she was so nice and joked around with us. I had Manicotti, which was FREAKING AMAZING! Ryan had Chicken Marsala, which was also FREAKING AMAZING! =P He had a glass of cabernet as well, but I wasn't aloud to taste. Boo. :(

During dinner he wanted to make a toast to me, and told me to go to the bathroom so he could think one up. I teased him a bit and went. When I came back, I found a small ring box sitting in front of my plate. He got me the peridot ring! I almost tackled him across the table! I was a bit sad all day about not having the ring, and here that sneak got it for me anyways! AH! We have to go get it size today (he didn't want them to size it when he bought it, he wanted to give it to me last night). It's so beautiful, and I'm so happy. It's real peridot in white gold. =D

We finished up and left; then we ventured to Meijer's and Vineyard's Market. Came home and baked some cookies and had some Ice Wine (really good stuff!).

It was the best anny I've ever had. I just love him soooooo much! No holiday could even come close to how amazing yesterday was.

Yanks pitcher presumed dead in NYC crash
AP - 8 minutes ago

NEW YORK - A small plane carrying New York Yankee Cory Lidle slammed into a 50-story skyscraper Wednesday, apparently killing the pitcher and a second person in a crash that rained flaming debris onto the sidewalks and briefly raised fears of another terrorist attack.

That's terrible...I can't even imagine how the Yanks are holding up right now. Get kicked out of post-season by the Tigers (I love our team, but it's been QUITE a while since we've been doing this well), and now this. =( Rest in Peace, Cory.
